2025-2026

Coordinator/Principal Investigator

Shae leads VHREC with expertise in venomous reptiles, herpetology, and wildlife research. As founder, Shae drives the organization’s vision, research initiatives, and conservation programs, bridging science with public education.

Treasurer

Andrew brings financial oversight and accounting expertise to VHREC holding a B.S. in business and accounting. As treasurer, he ensures responsible management of resources while supporting the organization’s mission as a passionate reptile enthusiast.

Valarie Green

Secretary

Valarie manages administrative and organizational operations for VHREC.

Accounting Committee

The VHREC Accounting Committee oversees financial stewardship, compliance, and transparency across all organizational activities. Composed of professionals with expertise in accounting, finance, and nonprofit administration, the committee ensures that VHREC’s resources are managed responsibly and reported accurately. By maintaining clear financial practices, the committee supports VHREC’s mission, sustainability, and accountability to our community and partners.

The VHREC Grant and Fundraising Committee oversees the organization’s development strategies, funding initiatives, and philanthropic stewardship. By guiding fundraising strategy, cultivating donor relationships, and evaluating funding opportunities, the committee supports VHREC’s programs, growth, and accountability to its community and partners.

Institutional Animal Care and Use Committee

VHREC’s IACUC ensures that all research and fieldwork with live animals is conducted ethically, safely, and responsibly.
